Secondary Air Injection - fault codes
My Check Engine light came on the other day. Used a friend's setup to read out the fault codes. Here is what I got :
17831 (P1423) Sec. Air Inj. Systen (B1) flow too low
17819 (P1411) Sec. Air Inj. Sys. (B2) restricted flow
I found some posts indicating this could be a cracked/broken line somewhere, but my friend said it could also be a bad MAP sensor (common, from wat I can see). Anyone have any experience/suggestions?

Did you see the pictures of the line being off?
If so....just pop your engine covers and see if the vacuum line is off, probably a 10 minute job.

If you haven't seen the pictures, click here

I had the exact same problem...it's the vacuum lines that control the combi-valves...
The vacuum lines can be spotted after you remove the top plastic engine cover. You will be looking for the lines with the cotton-type material on the outside. These usually dry-rot over the years due to engine heat and age.
