Default Do I look like I carry a cane?

Geez, RAV4, 3 times in 3 days? <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/66927.phtml">1st strike</a>, <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/67447.phtml">2nd strike</a>, <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/67695.phtml">3rd strike</a> you're OUT!

Neither I nor anyone else on this forum <b>OWES</b> you an answer - yet you've gotten several and still whine.

<i>"i saw a post that it does something or controls something else in the A6"</i>
Ok, so cite this reference and maybe you'd get a more specific answer.

<i>"i paid big money for my 4.2 so i want to know what these mods do to the car for the long run???"</i>
Clearly then <b>you</b> shouldn't be modifying your car. This is not meant negatively, just a simple fact that those who are excessively concerned about warranty issues and the long term impact of chopping up circuitry they don't understand should <b>NOT</b> be doing those things.

Sigh. Someday we'll get killfiles and then maybe I'll be happy.

Default Everything I have read, the answer is - NOTHING!

Relays and switches rarely have more than one function, even ones with some "logic" built into it like this one.

If you can't notice then it doesn't matter; what you don't know, can't hurt

Default you got your answer, it is the answer as far as anyone knows

Why don't you ask the S4 folks, the service manual for their car is already out so perhaps they can convince you.

This question has been asked and answered. Move on.

Default Audi will not get behing these mods and niether will the folks on this board..

We ALL payed a LOT of money for these cars. You seem to want some kind of guarantee from us. You pay your money and you take your chances. We write about our experiences and mods, to share with others that will take the risk.(at many levels) It really sounds like changing the air pressure for you is upsetting. Best of luck.

Default Ignore the hotheads..here is what I been told...

That relay when picked - that is when the voltage is provided to the coil; it will close the contacts for the servo mechenism to the power steering plus a second set of this relay will controll the speed limiter and supercharger thrust generator. Once this relay is removed your steering will feel tight and you will gain 49.75 bhp, since the speed and thruster controller limiter is disabled. The only drawback is Audi will not like this as your car is like S6. You can always replace the relay before taking it for service. But, IMHO I think the gain of some 50 bhp is well worth it. Every 4.2 owner has this thing pulled out. Hope this helps.
