some of you might recall a neighbor of mine had an IDENTICAL 2001 A6 2.7T, bought at the same dealer, same color, same CPO warranty, options, etc. We bought them within a month of each other (his was first).
So, a few weeks back, I think he was checking out my ride quietly. I know he has heard me zoom up the street (that exhaust).
Saturday, I notice a silver S6 Avant parked in his driveway, with a brand new inspection sticker on the windshield. Saw him this AM zooming poast MY house as I was going to my car!!!
FYI - My car SOUNDS better (RS6 exhaust), but I know he has more ponies under the hood!
...and I know...TPIWWP!

Not sure, he was always talking about chipping the 2.7T...
and I know he laughed at the number of times I changed wheels. I don't mind that he has a nicer car...he's got deeper pockets anyway.

Yeah, there is no way I am keeping up with him anyway...
let's see...his house worth about $2.5 million, mine worth roughly 1/3 that amount.

No RS6, but let's just say I test drove a few S6's last week...
there were a few (which is unusual) on the local market at various non-audi dealers. Went to check them out to see why they were listed for so little $$$.
In the end, there is one at Wellesley VW that was pretty nice, a couple of minor dings on the hood, but otherwise pretty clean. No sport seats however. There was another one at a Lincoln dealership with tons of miles (over 70k) and that thing was not treated very well by the original owner. Lots of noice frmo the suspension when turning at speed. Had the sprot seats, but I doubt the pervious owner knows what leather cleaner is.
Saw another one listed at IRA, which is where I suspect my neighbor bought his. Looked super clean, but I never got up there to drive it.
