soundproofing
Anyone have experience adding additional soundproofing to a6? Reputable, hi end automotive sound shop said adding Dynamat to doors, floor etc would make car much quieter. Sounds to me like most highway noise is wind noise around mirrors and windshield. Used to have Lexus and would appreciate similarly quieter interior. How much improvement could I expect with different tires (stock Contis now)? Thanks for your input

Dynamat is worth every penny.
I used to do high end stereo installs and sales. That stuff would take the rattle out of any car.
We had it in a 90's Chevy Z24 cavalier. Did all the body panels including the roof. We had this car out in the rain on the lot doing a demo. All you could hear was the tink, tink, tink of the rain hitting the sunroof. no sound from the roof panel. Thats what sold me.
