Default Is there any fuse I can use in the engine room?

Recently I would like to install a radar detector which can be hidden behind the bumper. Is there any fuse I can use to provide the power in the engine room?

Default That engine isn't available in the U.S.

So any answer you'd get from us would be a little suspect.

Default More a case of engine/car combination......I think that..

the best thing to do is to take a supply from the switched output from the fuse panel that supplies the radio. This will be fine for a Radar detector and will switch on/off with the ignition. You will not need a separate fuse providing you take the feed from the output side of the fuse.

Default That was implied.

I mean, we're on the A6 forum.
