Trading my A6 for RS6 is it worth the hassle
In the midest of tryoing to make up my mind whether it's worth trading in my A6 3.0L saloon (white) for a brand new 2004 RS6 (505 hbp/620 NM). Theya re giving them (RS6) for a good deal to clear the stoick for the new S6 roll out here in Dubai. The thing is there are a couple of issues that made me make such a move. 1- The new A6 will not have an RS6 model for 2 yrs to come. 2- Beside i always wanted one (RS6) they have nothing to do with the new A6 do they? Any pro's and con's of my decion to go for one other than the bank a/c damage?

Don't be offended...
...but are you retarded?
Is WHAT worth the hassle of trading up from a 3.0 to my dream car? Is it a hassle to drive to the dealership and pick up one of the world's foremost vehicles?
Get the friggin' car and then gloat about it. I would!

Re: Do you have any knowledge as to how the RS6 fares in the extreme heat?
Soo even when teh RS6 has heat soake it still is fast and definetly can tell a difference.
Look what happend the guy who ran in the heat ran a 14.0@100 and a A6 3.0 will run high 15s@89 mph. On the worst days the RS6 will still be a big difference.
Oh and going for a 3.0 A6 to a RS6 (and btw unless its chipped its not 500 hp) its like going from a compact car to a super car.

absolutely not, no way, no how.....
it will take way too much time and effort to strengthen your neck to withstand the acceleration, cornering and brake improvements.
and you'll need to work on right foot and ankle control to keep the beast on the road.
and you'll have to trim the callouses from your left foot having all that action on the dead pedal.
and your face will cramp so much from smiling, it will require botox injections to relax it....
so
stick with the slug mobile and avoid all that exercise, therapy and exhileration!!
cheers

Re: Trading my A6 for RS6 is it worth the hassle
You are great guys. I think i am going in tomorrow at the dealers to pay the deposit and book a blue one. Yes it's a super RS6 with 505 bhp and nyrs6 yes, it fares much better than the A6 in the heat here. Thanks guys for the professional judgment you have.
