Default I couldn't agree more...

My uncle was a pedesrtrain, standing next to his motorcycle, and was hit by a drunk driver and killed. The driver did not stop.

My uncle's friends chased the driver down and "persuaded" him to exit his vehicle until the police arrived. He was jailed overnight and released the following day.

This was his second offense, now having killed two people on two seperate occasions. At the trial he showed remorse and was given community service and a few other slaps on the wrist.

DRUNK DRIVING KILLS. PEOPLE DIE. DON'T DO IT.

Default Is there room in our engine compartments for fire suppression systems?

Someone on the A4 forum mentioned "firebottles." But, isnt' that manually activated? You have to be able to reach it.

http://store.summitracing.com/product.asp?d=13&s=97&p=1463&searchtyp e=ecat</a

Default I have some real questions about this scenario, I'm surprised this could happen like this.

I'd like to know more of the crash - suffocated? no broken windows, but 'stuck' in the car? Usually when you're pinned, the crash is so severe that windows are also broken out. Apparently not here. Granted smoke can still suffocate with partial ventilation.

If not that severe WRT deformation of the body, I would think the power windows might still operate, or sunroof maybe?

And nobody stopped to help right away or could help?

Absolutely horrifying scenario. I can't imagine anything worse. Like I said, my sincerest condolences.

Makes me want an A8.
