Unchipped????
Has anyone here ever UNCHIPPED their car for issues other than dealer service? I recently chipped my allroad and though I LOVE the power, I find the throttle WAY too sensitive for comfortable highway driving (when I can't use cruise control). I also found that due to the tremendouse torque, just slight throttle input will induce unwanted downshifts. So.. tonite it's back to stock. Maybe I'll switch the GIAC X for their lower powered chips.

Re: Unchipped????
Are you switching TO the Giac X chip, or FROM the Giac X chip?
I have an 2002 A6 2.7t QT, which I think has the same engine right? I was considering the Giac X chip from AWE in PA, but waiting for more feeback like yours. Thanks for your honesty. I indeed had the same concern about the aggressive torque curve. Question.. Is it possible to pull away from standing in a casual way or is that also over sensitive?

Re: Unchipped????
Just got home from my friend's house after brain surgery. We removed the X chip and put back in the standard chip. Car feels like it's off uppers. I am going to install the S chip and will advise you folks of the results. Thanks for all the wondeful feedback. Best forum for Audi is definitely here! BTW.. I used to be here when it was A4.org. I am definitely an oldtimer!!
