on my 1999 A6 2.8 quattro 5 speed Tiptronic
9 spoke alloy factory wheels 16" and 205 55 R16 tires and Meyele Pads . Pads are less than 6k miles old. The rotor seems to be in pretty good shape (thick)
Vibration coming from the front driver side wheel when braking,
Rubbing when the wheels are turned all the way to the left or right and I give it gas the car shakes and i can hear the rubbing until i straighten the wheels. I pulled the wheels off and there's no signs of rubbing on the wheel wells .
my vibration seems to be different with the amount of pressure i put on the pedal. it is worse with less pressure than with hard braking. With less pressure i can also hear a sound that i can't describe coming from that wheel. Like a fast clicking but not quite.
This happens when braking at high speeds but it seems to be a bit worse when the wheels are slightly turned to the right .
The tires have been balanced about a month ago .
Car runs smooth otherwise , no CEL on
