Default What kind of hwy MPG are you seeing with your 2.8Q..

I've been driving my wife's A6 for the last two weeks while my A8 is in the shop (Boogered the front end)and have noticed about 21MPG HWY, my A8 averaged 24, and that's with my big lead foot, and my willingness to always stomp on the go pedal every time some coffee can clad rice burner came around.

I'm getting about 20 mpg combined, surface street/highway approximately 45/55% breakdown.

I'm always amused with the coffee-can exhaust tip-equipped riceboy racers, there's quite a bit of them in the SF Bay Area.

Default 15-20 tops, combined.

But I don't try real hard to get good mileage.

I did get significantly better mileage with my 4.2, I only imagine is has to do with this car needing to be almost fully provoked to get out of its own way, whereas the 4.2 with half throttle moved fine.

I am getting about 24 MPG on the highway and around 18 or a little worse in city driving where I use the tip about 75% of the time. Could be better, but could be worse (Touareg).

Usually 20mpg, 22mpg if I'm lucky (and behave).

Default I'm seeing a consistent 125 per quarter tank

though I do drive 95 miles a day at least to/from work.

Though this hardly varies whether I'm driving hard in tip mode or loafing along...I do more loafing though anywhere between 60-80mph
