Default will be picking up my 2.7T Friday-->

and for some reason, sleeping has become very difficult these past few nights. I had placed a deposit on my car sight unseen, but I did finally get the chance to test drive her on Saturday.
Ming Blue with Onyx Leather, 6spd, Convenience pkge, Cold Weather pkge, Xenon's and CD changer round out what I personally feel is the best automobile in the world for 40k =)
This will sound like a stupid question, but is there anything in particular that I should look out for? (all I checked was the spare, and it matched the other 4)
Thanks in advance

Jim, I would make sure everything electrical works OK, including checking the Bose Unit for holding stations and tone settings. Inspect the car first and then do the paper work. When you go back out, see if it's on the same station and if the tone controls have moved. I would also inspect the exterior fit and finish carefully: no scratches, blemishes or wide gaps in body panels. Finally I would ask them about another consistent problem: paint chipping and pitting in front of the rear wheel openings down low and to a lesser extent the ones in the front. Good luck, sleep well and enjoy.

I just picked up my new A6 10 days ago and wish that my salesperson would have warned me about the LOUD wind buffeting that occurs at about 25 - 35 m.p.h. with the sunroof all the way open. I was exiting the freeway after a perfect 75 mile drive home when the car began to shake and sound as though there was something badly bent or out of balance. It was so bad that I contemplated not even driving it the final mile home!

I then remembered reading about something like this right here at AudiWorld. As it turned out, what I was experiencing was nothing more than the effect of wind being trapped inside the car. It happens only with the roof all the way open when moving 25 - 35 m.p.h. Closing the roof a single notch on the rotary switch (a couple of inches of roof travel) or cracking the rear windows open eliminates it. The "phenomenon" is addressed in the owner's manual, but like most I didn't read it before driving the car home.

Have fun with your new A6. You're going to love it.

Default Check the fluids...

The oil, of course, but also the power steering fluid. On both of my Audis the PS was at or below min.

Default Watch for leaks...

Check for leaks that might not show up during PDI (pre-delivery inspection). Leaks that likely only develop after several drive/cool/drive/cool cycles. Mine developed an oil leak in the first week so watch for this, or any kind of fluid.
<img src=http://www.vizsoft.com/~oliver/A6spin.gif

Every weekend I drive in a beach town with a strict 30 mpg limit. I almost always have the sunroof open and have never noticed any extraordinary wind noise. I do feel, however, that it gets pretty noisy at higher speeds (60-70).
IndieA62.8

Default Check the lights

My fog lights didn't work. It turned out the fuse was missing (not a big deal but it's something that I should have caught before leaving the dealer).
