Oh, well, maybe works too hard, lol. I can operate all windwos in driver seat. Rear windows are deactivated and the satefy switch indicates that. Push down the safety switch and hold it there, the rear windows can be operated in rear seats. As soon as the safety switch is released, the rear windows cannot be operated in rear seats. Something wrong with how I operate the safety switch or the safety switch is bad? If the latter, anybody has any idea how to fix it? Thank you very much!

Need to replace whole window switch assembly as a module. Sometimes you can jam the switch with a toothpick sort of thing if you just want to hold it in functional position. Once you own Audi's for awhile you realize never idly play with this switch; limited life. Search archives for lots of posts on this.
