Winter tire (yah really!) question..
I have 2002 A6 4.2 with sports option. (ContiSport 255/40 R17). A friend is selling Michelin Alpine 215/45R 17" from his Benz. Will these work on my A6?

Here is a link from Stoneys storied reference that could help.
the size is reaonably close, 1.7% circumference difference. But you'd need narrower wheels. that is a 4 cm narrower tire.
