Wipers Froze In Bad Snow Storm
This is my first Post on this forum, as i just found the audiworld web site.
I just wanted to say that this past winter, we were driving through buffalo, ny in one of their worst snow storms ever, and as we were driving, after about an hour, the windshield wipers just stopped working! We tried to drive for a while and it was just impossible, we tried to figure out what was wrong, we thought it may have been the electrical system or something, so we checked the fuses, but that wasnt it. So we opened the hood, and found a huge chunk of ice blocking the wipers from working. I just wanted to let everyone know that. Other than that we havent had any problems.

Maybe those other cars had these... a lot of people who live in bad climates use them.

Short trip during recent Buffalo area (actually Chaut. county where there's REAL snow) storms and S6
had buildup like you're talking about. I cleaned it out and didn't have a problem. Maybe if I was going further it would have been a problem. People don't fully appreciate what heavy wind blown lake effect snow @2" hour will do to travel and vehicles. Quattro rules!
Glad I don't live there now, just visit.
