Wouldn't it be great to have the option of U.S. plates in the European style. Whatdaya think?

Default How about we just drop the whole idea of plates and go with RFID tags?

The technology exists (and is in use) to identify cars with a very cheap and simple RFID tag. It can be battery powered or passive (activated by a reader source).

Imagine how much better cars would look.

Default I know, but I ran one on my last car for a year without incident.

Lucky, I'm sure. It was my actual plate number though. Now, I take my chance with tint and no front plate, but hey I'd rather pay the fine, then not enjoy my car's good looks. So far, only one $20 front tint ticket when I parked in the gold cost over night.

Funny this subject come up, yesterday, I saw a BMW with Euro plates front and back overlayed by US plates on top. A matter of style?
