'08 4.2 timing chain or belt?
I've done my fair amount of research but still need to know for sure before purchase. Okay from my understanding, the Audi A6 4.2l had a chain for years '05 and '06, and a belt for '07 and '08? Correct? Why is that? And what are common issues for the years of '07 and '08? I think I'm one of the few people that doesn't want a chain. I would lose my mind knowing those chain guides could break at any moment.
