2005 A6 3.2 Network Control Unit

From some research it looks like my Network Control Unit is bad (Parking Break fault indicator on, parking break works, VAG says EEPROM error in module etc.). It is part # 4F0 907 289 E and the dealership wants $430. I found a 4F0 907 289 G (note the G instead of E) on ebay for $89. Does anyone know if they are compatible? Thanks for any help.

Yes, it's compatible. The way I understand it, if the letter is higher the newer the part is(upgrades, fixes where made to better the part).

Great. The Ebay posting seemed to indicate that also. $90 is better than $430. Hopefully setting everything with the VAG will be straightforward. Thanks for your help.
