Default 2005 Audi A6 3.2

I know This might of been posted before. What is the maximum tire width I can
use on a 2005 Audi A6 3.2? Either 18” or 19”.

I currently use 245/45 on 18" with 20mm wheels spacers and I'm totally fine. Hope this gives you a clue.

Why do you have spacers? The OEM tire sizes are 225/55-16, 245/45-17, and 245/40-18. Isn't the middle number the width in millimeters? So, 45mm is 10 mm under the maximum OEM specification width allowed.

‘The first number is tire width. The middle number is the ratio of tire wall height when compared to tire width.

Yeah I came back to fix my mistake and it's too late to edit now since you replied. I was thinking it's not big enough and indeed I looked at a diagram wrong. Even so he doesn't need any spacers and is just doing it to have a wider profile.
