Default back & hip pain

For those of us in our fifties, had really bad hip and back pain. Finally figured out it was my driving position; I was sitting in a too aggressive stance. Now use more laid back position but my driving hasn't changed

How vertical was your seat back before, and how many degrees more laid back is the new position? Did you do anything to the seat bottom too (adjust rake, etc.)?

What I did was find the right balance so that less pressure on the bottom of my thighs. I redistributed the weight toward my tush and back by tilting up the seat and reclining the seat back. I sometimes drive 80 miles a day round trip and no more pain.

not that I'm anywhere near THAT old (), I bet you'd like the A5/S5 seats as much as I do...

Tip for the day - don't drive with your wallet in your back pocket. Your hip position will not be balanced.

I've heard that advise from quite a few people. Only problem is at my age I'll forget and leave the wallet in the car.

He prob meant the A5 S-line or S5 seat. Standard A5 seats are just as good as the A6's (I myself think it was a bit worse when testing the standard A5, lower seating position is a + though).
