Default A couple of questions....

So, I have reading thru the variouse forums and also tried the search function on my questions, nada. I may need to post this in other discussions but I figure I try here first.

My 06 3.2 is over 40K, everything is fine but the car doesn't drive the way I feel that it should. Specifically I would like to tighten up the suspension a bit and get ride of some body roll. Don't want to lower the ride, need every inch of clearance for NE winters. So I was looking at swapping in Koni FSDs. My question is whether I should also swap in bigger sway bars front and rear? If so how thick, would H&R's 32 front and 25 rear be over kill and push me into oversteer territory? Also, how long should a typical suspension last from the factory, I want to time the swap close to when the factory setup would need to be replaced anyways.

Secondly, what are your opinions on the BBK setup? Overkill, waste of money, etc? I want to upgrade because there have been more than a few instances where I wanted more from the stock system. More crazies are hitting the roads as the weather gets warmer...I feel like I need all the stoping power I could get.

Thanks in advance.

I upgraded the rear sway bar in my 05 4.2 to the H&R. It was a huge improvement to the handling.

Thanks for the feed back, what size rear did the 4.2 came with? What size did you go to?

Default Stock is a very small 18. I went with the adjustable 22 on the aggressive setting. H&R also has

an adjustable 25.

Default BBK

I have the Rotora BBK, pedal feel is much better than stock. Meaning more bite with less of the grabbiness of stock, especially when driving at stop and go traffic speeds. To say that the stopping distances have decreased, I am not sure, but the contact feeling has improved. However, this may be a result of the slotted and drilled rotors plus the steel braided brake lines and not the caliper.

The price is affordable and if you like the look that the BBK offers, I would say do it!

Cheers.

Thanks for the review on the BBK, the grabbiness of the stock system can get annoying and sickening real quick in NYC traffic. I am really happy to hear the BBK will eliminate that. Which size rotors did you go with? I don't know if my stock 18 inchers will clear the new setup, I use them in the winter with dedicated snows.

Btw, that is a sweet looking car you got there!

Default I didn't even know they made a 22, that may be a better fit with the FSDs than 25s

I guess I should leave the front alone until after I drive with the new rear and FSDs.

Again, thanks for the info.

Default I could only find the 25 on the website but my mechanic said there was also a 22. When I went to

have it installed it was indeed a 22. It has greatly reduced the body lean and improved the handling without making the ride too harsh.
