So I have this issue thats intermittent or daily.. I put the key in and it'll say ignition key lock or it won't say it but I'm unable to pull the keyout. I have to wiggle it back and fourth while half turning the car over to get it out. I believe I had the immobilizer replaced 6 months ago, so I think that's out of the question (my car wouldn't start and I was told it was the immobilizer).

For this issue, do I just replace the ignition switch? Will any 2005-2011 Audi a6 ignition switch work, plug and play no programming needed? I read that the key apparently isn't cut to the ignition so any key will fit but it's more so the fob that's programmed? Or am I completely wrong about that.

The codes I got are 00166 access / start autho switch e315 and 01176 key open circuit
