Just pulled the trigger: 2008 A6 4.2! Life is good.
Finally turned my 1999 A8 (137k miles)and a 2007 A4 on a new 2008 A6 4.2, Oyster gray with Platinum. Really great car!
Test drove a number of others, Acura TL & RDX, MB Ml320 CDI, and others. None compared to the A6. It just feels right and the sound of the V8 is intoxicating. Should be a lot more reliable that my old A8.
Plan to keep this one a long time.

Great choice! My '07 4.2 Oyster Platinum was special ordered and is beautiful. Debadge it for the finishing touch and enjoy the 75 -> 100 zone.
