You probably got water on the switch, just replace it. the switch is not that expensive, and the install is easy. I am talking from experience, it happened to me, only i had the problem when my windows were getting tinted and he dropped water on my switch.

Hello ALL,
This is my very first Audi!! I am new to the Audi family; I just would like to know about installing updates. Do I need to purchase the CD's to install them? or find sites that I could download to my pc then rip them and use it the CD for the car. Still trying to figure out this great car; I usually do ALL of my maintenance with previous cars (honda and acura) but THIS car seems like a little bit difficult...but still learning. Just recently got the bently cd and vag-com.
ps. Do I need to change the transmission fluid, in this type of car? I've been getting different advise..1)don't need to cuz of transmission is sealed(lifetime) 2) yes, I do need to change it 60K miles...etc. Whats you guys take on it?? Thank you for you guys help in advance...I LOVE this car!!

Hi and welcome.

1. try to get your dealer to do the MMI update. search the forum for ways to find your current version.

2. change your transmission fluid. most of us here feel that 'lifetime' really just means the length of the base warranty. if your dealer wont't do it, find a local indy that will and that has worked on C6s before. C5s use different fluids. ask your regional forum for good indy shops.

Dont know if this is the right place to post but I heard there is a way to make it so your side view mirrors til down while reversing for parking. Is this a MMI update or a mod?

Hello Pierreb and Hello All;
I've used vag-com to pull codes, when pulling codes I forgot turn-off daytime running lights. Next am, battery low indicator came on (10%), drove for 70 mi trying to recharge it, re-fill battery with distilled water and it is still 10% battery. Researched some the site (in regards to battery low 10%) and was advised to either 1) re-fill battery w/ distilled water or 2) software update for the battery level indicator ($125 at dealership). Is there any place/website to purchase these disks? Pls advise. I will also post my problem page on what I pulled on my car...there are alot of problem codes that came up. WOW!!I am over-whelmed right now.
ps. I am driving the car out of town, wondering if it is ok. I had hired someone to do my 55K maintenance;
these were done;
-change oil and oil filter (synthetic 10-30)
-replace air filter
-replace spark plugs (double platinum spark plugs)
All parts and labor= $360. I didn't have the time to do all so I just hired someone. I should have gotten a CPO Audi!

Hello,

Great topic over here.
Very usefull !
Unfortunataley the link for "Navigation not available" displayed on MMI screen : TSB # 2016037 and Temperature different between front driver and passenger sides : TSB #2013883 doesn't seem to work.

Can somebody give me the correct link, because I am interested in the first one of these TSB's.

Thanks in advance

I had the same problem, low battery in screen, showing 20%, no amount of driving or battery charging would move it, but the car started ok all the time. In the end it came down to a couple of things, first I unplugged the leads from the battery monitor, wihch is located to the right hand side of the spare tyre in the boot or trunk. This seemed to reset it. Also I updated the software for the battery monitor from Audi to the latest, and also updated the MMI to latest as there is a TSB to do with battery low when radio does not switch off properly. It was nothing to do with the battery in my case, just crap battery manager software and crap MMI software.
