Glastonbury here.
If you want to get together and run the discs on your car, let me know. I have both the 4F0 906 961 AB and the 4F0 998 961 set.

I tried to run them on my car, but I get an error from the CD changer. I'd love to watch the update on someone else's car just to see how it is supposed to work.

No idea where the get the new NAV cd.

no, the update isn't supposed to be running from the CD changer. You have to take the NAV disc out and use that slot for the update discs. Also, once the system is updated, our old NAV disc is useless as the system won't reg it any longer. I will have to find a new NAV disc first though.

MMI update is supposed to be run from slot one of the CD changer per Audi.

Hey Guys,
Thank you so much for the update.

For now I figured out from the sticky post by Pierreb that I need
4F0906961AB & 4L0906961H CDs and run MMI update.

Does anyone know which firmware version each part number stands for?

Also in the TSB PDFs, i see the below step:
Connect a recommended battery charger to the designated charging posts in the vehicle.

I do not have a battery charger of any kind, is it mandatory?

If you don't have a battery charger, then you will need to run the engine to prevent the MMI update from stopping mid–stream in the process.

MMI update are run from the CD changer first slot and you have to remove all the CD from them before applying the combo button you have to press so the update menu appear

Map updates are done from Nav drive in trunk
MMI updates are run drive 1 in changer
**latest Map updates require(or highly recommend) updating to latest MMI < i read this somewhere but cant say 100%

as far as power source....if u turn car off
the car will think u r just listening to a CD and will shut off like it normally does to conserve battery after a few minutes and that could cause big problems...

i kept the car running ...so much easier unless u r very familiar with using battery maintainers... i know VCDS recommends a certain amount of battery strength when performing a simple TBA Throttle Body Alignment so im sure a 2 hour project would be more stringent

remove all cds from changer and only use Slot one

do not get smart and put 1st update disk in slot one and update disk 2 in slot 2

Guys,
I have updated to 4140, but i dont see any huge changes apart from navigation showing restaurants parks etc.
I remember driving a 2006 A6 and it was showing TPMS in its menu.

Does the 2005 come with TPMS? Can we enable/disable it?
