Post a request for VAG-COM on the regional board on this forum and maybe try regional forums on vwvortex.com or passatworld.com

I am pretty sure that you can get replies from people with VAG-COM living near you. Then it's a couple of minutes to reset and may cost you a six pack.

Thank you for offering to help but I learned very quick back then to ditch the Chinese cable and get the real thing. Best thing I ever did, lost count of how many times it has paid for itself by now.
