Default Sunroof drain cleaning, hard to do?

I was told by Audi that the sunroof drains must be cleaned every two years. They quoted me $69 to get them done but was wondering if this is something simple? It sure sounds like it is but not sure.

All you do is snake some small plastic tubing through the two drain holes or just blow some compressed air through which is what i did for my 75k.

I thought it was every 5k or 10k miles not every two years. Could be wrong though. The brake fluid is every 2 years.

Be careful using compressed air. A friend is going through a nightmare from using it because it can blow the tube off the nipple it is attached to and then water has no way to drain.

I don't see a nipple or a tube. All you see from the outside is hole in the metal.

Way back I had Audi do the drain cleaning and everything has been fine until recently. My car now gets water in the driver footwell everytime it rains. If it is raining hard there is water in the roof lining near the pilar as well. I have tried blowing compressed air and snaking a thin hard plastic hose and nothing. Audi told me that the drain itself needs to be replaced which is a $6 part but over 3 bills in labor. Has anyone replaced the drain? I need to get this fixed right now and will like to take a crack at it before I end up bending over to Audi.

I used a small plastic vacuum line of mercedes and gently pushed it thru.
And I do it like once a year and takes like 10 minutes or less.
I did the front and the rear.
Better be safe than sorry.
