Default Another taillight issue

I know that everyone with a 2005-2008 A6 has had this taillight issue. Mine has had the same thing and even though I replaced the assembly, I still have the same issues (no brake, reverse light, no turn signal). I checked the taillight connector and I'm getting no power to it. The only thing I can think of at this point is to bypass the harness by hardwiring the car and taillight together. Has anyone done this before?
