Downgrading Matrix headlights to non Matrix LEDs on my 2015 A7
Hi All,
I plan to downgrade Matrix LED headlights to non Matrix LEDs on my 2015 A7. The process doesn't seem to be plug and play though.
Matrix LEDs (4G8 941 035 & 4G8 941 036) were connected using two plugs (14 and 2 pin). Non matrix LEDs (4G8 941 033 & 4G8 941 034) will be connected using only one plug (14 pin).
After connecting non Matrix headlights in my car all functions (low beam, turning, DLRs) work but high beam doesn't. I get the high beam bulb missing error. I didn't change any coding yet.
Looking for your input users: Is this downgrade process as simple as changing car coding or do I have to change any other parts also?
If it is just a matter of coding can you help with specific settings that need to be changed (addresses etc). I have access to VDCS.
