On a 2013 a7 USA, how do I find out what version MMI and maps I have and what is the most recent version? Bought preowned the other day and was told update was done but I don't think so. Thanks in advance.

I was just able to find this in my MMI

They didn't update the MMI to the latest version. Your 0609 was valid in 2013 and there have been multiple updates since then - it's now 0814. Someone else will have to confirm the latest map version - I doubt it's current though as the dealer has to buy it and it takes three hours or so of labor time (and since they didn't bother to update your MMI).

Just had some repair work done that resulted in the nav database being upgraded as well. Attached pic shows the version number:

If they actually updated your map version at no cost, you just received about $400 of value and you should celebrate.

Audi recently upgraded my software from 487 to 814. Prior to the upgrade my display showed "TMC" in the lower left corner, and my bluetooth and 3G signal in the lower right. since the upgrade I've lost the ability to connect to 3G data in any way. now the "TMC" is gone, and the unit displays 2G with no bars. if I try and turn on Google Maps it just says no data connection.

any ideas?

First off, the TMC is the designation for the Sirius traffic designator and not connected via Audi Connect cellular. Mine hasn't shown for years, my traffic works and I wouldn't worry about the symbol.

You are no longer connected to the internet. Assuming you still have an active T-Mobile subscription to Audi Connect, have you tried the following?
Remove the sim and reinsert it.
Reboot the MMI (press menu+center ****+upper right function button.
Wait and see if it's a local T-Mobile issue and try again later.
If these don't work, the update may have not been applied correctly and would have to be redone by the dealer.

Yes the repair was under warranty, so I guess I should feel lucky about the maps. Though I don't know if I'll ever notice the difference...

The navigation upgrade was recently. I got the MMI updated to 814 around half year ago.
