Default Trunk dripping for hours after car wash

Does anyone else experience this? They use a purple foam at the place where I go and my A7 is Ibis White. When I get home I'll have purple streaks running down the back end on either side of the license plate. I clean it up and a half hour later it's back. I have to do this 3-4 times every time I get my car cleaned. Has anyone else experienced this, and/or found a solution? Thanks.

Yeah, that's pretty common not just on the A7. Water gets into openings and unless you blow it out it will slowly drip out over time. Use something like the Adam's Sidekick Blaster to get the water out of all the nooks and crannies. The side mirrors is another place where this happens for me. There's water dripping out and leaving a streak down the door panel.

Another option and much less cost is to use an electric leaf blower. I got an inexpensive one for $25 and it works great to blow the water out from those problem areas.

Water collects in the spoiler well and drains from the crack on each side of the license plate. Try raising the spoiler and flushing out. Raising the hatch will cause some to drain too.

I agree with the last post. The drainage seems to be coming from the spoiler well, so I just open the hatch for a few minutes so the well can empty. Seems to eliminate the dripping from around the license plate.

Now if there were only a similar fix for the annoying drips from the base of the side mirrors. Grrr...

Great suggestions. I actually have one of those little Makita blowers in the woodshop (very handy for jobs where the leaf blower is overkill) so maybe I'll try that next time together with leaving it open for a bit. Thanks again.
