Upgrading the Sound System...
Hello! In EU, A7's can be fitted with 3 different sound systems:
-Bang & Olufsen
-BOSE
-Worthless Piece of ***
I am in the third category and that is standard Audi Sound System, the same as in the A1, A3, etc.
It sounds OK, up until Iron Maiden or Metallica, but from there on it hits its limit at not even half the volume! It does not compare with the BOSE system in my 1998 S class.
Paying and installing the Bang&Olufsen one would be absurd, as those mobile speakers require some hardware work in the dash, probably, but replacing my speakers with BOSE ones seems doable.
Does anyone know, what exactly is required in order to UPGRADE to Bose? I know I need to change the speakers, what else?

If you're looking to replicate the Bose option, there are definitely much better alternatives for the price in the aftermarket. The Bose option is the one real disappointment in my A7. Luckily, it's not very high on my list of what's really important to me in a car, assuming the thing can sound better than a tin can. Then again, I can always go home and listen to my McIntosh/B&W setup. 
There are some good A7 threads from the middle of last year on some custom stereos, especially focused on the subwoofer. Let us know what you do.
