01 S8 timing belt
Recently I did my timing belt. Figured some people in here could use a laugh.
I bought my car a year ago with 155,000 miles from a Ford dealership with no service records. I planned on doing the belt when I did the 01E swap this summer thinking there was no way it would still be on the original belt at that mileage. Trans swap didn't happen this summer due to life so I figured I'd do it next summer instead. Well, a few weeks ago the thermostat stuck shut so that forced the timing belt issue... I nearly crapped myself when I found this. Passenger side cam had jumped a tooth when checked with the alignment bar.
She's all better now. Pulls better up top as well.
