A8 door problem, Need help!
Hello
Can anyone help me with the possible cuase of my drivers front door inner handle being stuck. wont close and now the door will not shut fully. I have tried to move the door latch as if it was hitting the striker, that works but if I shut the door it does work. I was driving the car, stopped and this happened, thus i am quite sure it is not the striker or the striker being moved. Any help would be very much appreciated

What exactly is the problem
Your inner door handle is stuck in the open position??
Am I safe assuming that it's an internal linkage problem?

Thanks, i got the door panel off without any trouble, the issue seams to be the door latch in the trailing edge of the door. The cable will not retract once you have opened the door from the inside. If you close the latch manually, you can pull it open with the cable, but it still wont retract. To get to the latch you need to do surgery on the door. I just thought maybe there was a simple fix or a common problem. I guess i will take the car to the dealer to replace the part. With this info, any other thoughts? Thanks for your help!

FYI the door problem was the inner door latch mech Audi part #8d1837015f, had the inner latch rod bent, I was told that someone had most likley tried to lock the door manually while the door was open. $300 bill, but all is good now. Just thought i would give you a update.
