Default after almost 3 weeks not driving the car started smoking

I just came back from Europe after many A8 D2 and D3 sightings. When I started my car today oil started burning and the car is smoking like a chimney. It comes from the back passenger side of engine. I had a similar problem with VW and turned to be camshaft seals. how much should I expect to pay for a job like that and is it worth it to do timing bell job as well. I did have a minor oil leak for a long time but oil was never burning. I wonder what happened after the car was just sitting there. thanks

Most likely enought oil leaked out on the motor and when you started it up oil sarted to burn off the oil.
Wait tillit burns off in a day or so. Most likely it alwaus leaks but since you drive it lits, you do not see it.
ALso, I think you can change your own cam shaft seal fairly easily.

Default The big question is where is the leak

is the smoke coming out the tailpipe, or just "from everywhere" ?

Bad valve seals can cause this problem. Compression test to verify...
