Air Bag Failure Codes
I obtained the failure codes for the Air Bag light on my 1998 A8Q. The dealer has no information or advice other than to replace the module at a cost of $1300-$1500 and from past experience every estimate they have given me has doubled by the end of the job.
Below are the codes I obtained from the dealer :
1) 00594 044, Airbag Ignition Circuit, Short Circuit, Sporadic DTC
2) 65535 000, Control Module Malfunctioning, Sporadic DTC
Any advice much appreciated.
Does it make sense to disconect the negative cable and see if the light resets ?
