Anyone in Dallas wants to join me at an Audi Driving Experience class?
At the Texas Motor Speedway:

I'm told they have an event once a month. First opening for me would be October.
I'm thinking of the Two-Day Advanced Handling Course (they have a One-Day one also).
Shoot me an email.

That is a good class.
I did the one in Sebring last March. Its a very good class. I want to do it again in a couple of years.
Certainly go for the the 2 days. I am not sure you will see many Audi nuts there though... There were only 3 students in the adult program on the first day (myself, a 50ish obnoxious BMW driver, and a 17 year old kid with a Mustang). Second day was just me and the 17yo so we has a LOT of seat time in the cars wich was really great. Lots of skid pad stuff and the autocross in the TT is so much fun. You are not really going very fast (not above 2nd gear really) but the turns are so tight it doesn't matter. The rest of the group were a bunch of South Florida teens who had a gazillion accidents and had to go because their parents made them - what a bunch of whinners! They kept them seperate from the adults for the most part.
Its a very different experience than tracking your own car with the clubs. If they do the same format as in Sebring, you will not do any lapping on the track per se at all. But, the exercises are are very cool. I think I learned more about vehicle dynamics at the school and hopefully that makes me a little better on the track.
If you do it, please let us know what you thought.
