Click clack clunk.
I have had this clicking noise for the last year. When driving at any speed. Let up on the gas so the drive-train has little stress on it. There is a clicking noise. Originally I had connected it to bad half axles. The boots were ripped in the front so I replaced them with new axles. The noise was better but not gone. After a month or so all I could think was that I got a bad axle. It sounded like it was coming from the front passenger axle so I bought another axle and replaced the "old" one. It never helped a thing and over the last year it has become louder. What a surprise...
I had my Dad listen to it as I drove back and forth in the driveway. It clicks once (and loud) going from forward to reverse. I can feel it in my seat when giving the car some pedal.
Please help. I have no idea what type of center axle this car has or if it has a joint of some sort but it sure seems like that is going bad.

If you're going to do your own repairs and throw useless money (new half shaft when none is needed).
Your description does not help much for those not there to witness it, but with a picture in your head of what parts (and their function) are under there, you'll have much better chance of diagnosing the problem.
A home mechanic requires proper tools...and this is one of them...I do NOTHING to my car without it >>>

It will not troubleshoot for you, but will educate and guide through repairs.
