Default coolant being slowly drained, don't know why, no puddles anywhere...?

has this happened to anyone? i don't have a belly pan right now so anything dripping would land in my parking space and garage, and there's definitely nothing there. thoughts?

Default This normally means "head gasket". The coolant is being drawn into the engine and vaporized.

Does your exhaust smell sweet, and look vaporish?

Default Beside's Jkay's comment, look for white residue at the vents at the heater hose penetrations at the

firewall, and around the oil cooler. You might take out your air box to really inspect around the oil cooler, but you can see quite a bit from underneath and up top, with it in place.

Some leaks are slow enough, that they don't puddle.

Ahh of course. Those, too. When he said "drained" I pictured a faster leak.

It could be a few thing, but you need to find it fast because it can go into the tranny too.

Default Tozo-How does it get into the tranny and how do you know if it is??

I too have mistery slow leak and now am worried about it as I can see no leaks at all.
Have checked the temp sender as I get an occaisional fault lately.
May be loose connection at the plug-will remove and clean this week

Default The tranny cooler and the engine cooler is the same radiator.

The tranny cooler has no pressure, but the antifreeze could reach a few pound of pressure. If it breaks internally, the pressure could force the coolant into the tranny cooler and the tranny. Because the tranny cooler has no pressure, you can't see tranny fluid in the coolant reservoir.
