engine fault code

Did a scan with VAG-COM last night and one fault code came up - oxygen sensor (I dont remember the code itself) should I be concerned replacing it? or it is only affects my emmission levels?

It will also effect gas mileage and performance..

I would suggest replacing all of them if its time. Or at the very least rplace them in pairs.

Our car has 4. 2 in front of the catalyst and 2 after.

First rule of trouble shooting.

Clear the codes and check for codes after a few start.Code means problem only if it returns.
