Default finally! 2000 A8, 54k miles, $26K.

will finalize which extended warranty to get, troll around the board for advice, etc. i pick her up friday and settle up payment. then, an 800 mile drive back to new york.

one thing i'm glad i did as i narrowed down to two identical cars - called the dealers to get their service history. found out one had serious transmission issues/service 10k miles ago. this one had no "stories."

Default Is it audi assured?

If so, then that's a great deal. I just paid $32,000 for a 2000 with 44K miles.

Default Great deal and welcome to the club! (Just wait until the upgrade bug bites...)

Wheels, suspension, brakes....... ;-)

Buy a vag.com (www.ross-tech.com) and recode the transmission!! You will want the vag.com for future diagnostics and resetting the OIL/IN1/IN2 service reminders.

Default If you own an A8, you need to go here

www.audipages.com

Has a lot of FAQ's......and procedures.

Make sure you go to the automatic transmission page and read that stuff, very important to the health of the tranny. Get your tranny oil and filter changed ASAP.
