Has anyone taken delivery on a customer ordered '04 A8L?
The car that my dealer "misordered" was in Houston by 5/30...what's taking so long for these cars to be delivered to the dealers? Makes me wonder if I hold tight and wait for the Night Blue Pearl car that's 4 weeks behind the original order....if I'm lucky enought to take delivery by the beginning of August. With the exception of the AofA ordered cars, there has been almost a month lapse without any additional cars.

Chronic, just got off the phone with my dealer in Seattle. For what it's worth, my car began the build process on June 2, and he told me it was on a train headed to German port today and would be ready for delivery last week of July, or first week of August. So all told, approx. 60 days from first rivet to keys in my hand...barring any complications in transit.

No, but 3 weeks ago I saw 6 of them at Danbury ,Ct Porsche, VW, Audi. Apparently they were all
accounted for but one which is a demo. The funny thing is they just became certified w/ the A/S8's a month or two ago. Go figure.

Troy - They already had one on the floor at Barrier Audi in Bellevue, but I think it is sold and delivered. You might check to see if another comes in between now and my delivery date, Audi A8 guy there is named Jonathan Gross...good guy. If you don't see one sooner, mail me again after first of Aug and I can try to arrange a time for you to see the color. I'll also post some pics here, might be the first pics of Northern Blue with Sabre interior on this board.

I ordered an A8L in silver w/black 19" wheels today in the Phila. suburbs. The dealer said that the way his deliveries were going, I will see my car in August. I know that this doesnt answer your question but I had to tell someone of my excitement!!!

Hello MB defector. You cleared up my head enough to cancel the E320 and order the silver w/black with 19" wheels TODAY!! My dealer also said 60 days. Thanks for your help!

Congratulations on a great decision. This car is amazing, I test drove one for a couple of hours a few weeks ago. I'm positive it's a better choice than the E-Class, and that I'll think the same thing years down the road.
