heater control valve ? squealing up a storm
What started as something that sounded like a faint bearing noise quickly changed to a loud squeal. It seems to be coming from the two black plastic cylinders located in the cowl on the drivers side of the hvac air intake. The sound cycles a bit under acceleration and stops only when the temp is set to low. The hvac operates properly and the in/out hoses are hot so circulation seems fine. I believe that that part is the control valve. Has anyone had this problem and has the repair/replace been completed and documented?
Thanks

Re: Yes,Fix it or else it will take out the control head. How much do you $think$ you want to know?
Control head....do tell. I have done the ostrich thing before and ended up costing me so would rather hit it head on.

No,it is purchased as an aasembly, its expen$ive.
I tried to source just the solenoid's with no luck. They are low voltage coils, test resistance and make sure the "rest" pump is not the culprit.

thank you, i will try this weekend. Is the removal of the unit straight forward. I heard that the hvac air intake box abutting the valve needs to be removed to access the unit.
