Default Hopefully I will be Thumpin' Down the Road Tomorrow

I just have to cover it with Alcantara, which is easier said than done. Will only do the front and side that will be seen along with the top.

So I will have a big seam on the side that looks like a Christmas present when wrapped....I don't think anybody will ever look at it anyways.....

The connections will be on the back seat side, so you won't see them.

Default Does that thing have a grill? I would hate to see anything damage that cone.....

Good work as usual Paul! Something to consider esthetically might be to add one more layer of wood with a cut out just larger than the diameter of the speaker thus giving the look of it being "flush" or "recessed" with the top of the box. But then again, who cares what I think :-)

Default No cover on it.....

...OHBW has a lip on his......or should I say he has lip in general.....or that's just what the mods think.....

I could easily add a lip by just ripping a few pieces of wood down....maybe I cover the top first, staple it where the lip will cover it....dado the lip so it won't interfere with the staples, then it would be easy to cover both sides with no "christmas present flap".....

What does AW think? I think I would put the lip on the back and right side. If I put it on the left side, it will make it had to cover again...here's Brian's....

Forget the lip, no room to install it on the box, it will be naked and look cool!

Default Good looking box. Why don't you save your material and...

Hi Paul, This looks like a project you will enjoy. If you like the industrual look and want to save your material, Find a place like LineX or some other company that sprays truck beds. That material would look and wear great. Mask off the speaker and the speaker imput panel. It wouldn't cost much and would be just about indestructable. You can get it in different colors.
