Default I got CEL today any suggestion (inside)

I read the codes and they were
Secondary air pump insufucial flow Bank 1 and same bank 2.
I forgot to copy the codes number.
Anyone has idea what could be?

the car is '02 S8

Thanks

I got this exact same error shortly after buying my '02 A8L. Several people suggested that it's a broken/disconnected vacuum hose on top the engine, right under the plastic engine cover. Sure enough, I took off the cover and one of the little hoses was crumbled from age. Replaced it and cleared the codes and have been fine ever since.

Default Here's a picture

<center><img src="http://www.usatcorp.com/pics/hose.JPG"></center><p>This is what I saw when I had those error codes. Notice where I've circled in red, showing the hose completely apart. 79 cents worth of rubber tubing from the parts store fixed it right up.

Default Suggestion for everyone - always post the 5-digit fault code. It makes searching for related threads

much easier.

Default PaulW is correct, but I get this same code with all hoses and everything in proper order...

only when its cold out. I need to let the car warm up before leaving for work otherwise my CEL comes on.

Im thinking the diaphrams are sticking in the cold.

If it is P 0491 follow the end of two small hoses which are conected to the actual valves on the back of the engine (on each side of the banks), on my car they're almost desintegrated, so I've cut a half inch out of them and conected back to the valves, no problem since then. I can probably take some pictures when I'm coming back from Europe on Sunday and send it to you (I need your e-mail ) if you still have the problem.
