Default i think bmw has problems...

this in response to an article last week "is bmw slipping" referencing a road & track article that placed the new 530i 6th out of 8 in a comparison...

gripes on autospies

Default Dynamically, the new BMWs are great, but aesthetically, the new...

..5 is horrendous. At least the 7 series is a beauty from the outside: big, solid, imposing. The 5-series is like a Pontiac from many angles. The butchered the mid-exec sedan.

Default The 745i looks good, but the 745iL is darn ugly

The rear end is still ugly....but the rest of the car looks good....the 5 series is too ugly for me....

Default I'll go for "all of the above"

I haven't liked anything they've done since the Z3. 5,7, swb, lwb, it doesn't matter.

Default GUYS!! I GOT QUOTED!!!

check for my email feedback in the article:

--------------------------

C'mon guys, this is an easy one. Bangle is the reason bmw is slipping.

at my company's parking lot, there are plenty of bmws. and plenty of new vehicles. but not a single new bmw. and why? they are hideous. our ceo drives a 740 but would not be caught dead in a 745. soooooo ugly.

ditto for me. i've gone the audi route. would sure be nice to see something about them instead of the usual bmw/lexus/acura chatter.

Default I couldn't agree more

But the new A8 is gorgeous. As many have indicated, the new A6 looks great in person, far better than the fugly as **** 5 Series. The 5 Series horrific interior has leather upholstery that looks and feels so much like vinyl that you cannot even tell it is leather. In person, the new A6's interior also looks great. Very sporty and very elegant. I used to love BMWs. But ******** Chris Bangle enormously messed that up for me.
