If there is a video on using this system, I'd watch it, or a few minutes of it, but even if I had the DVDs for my car I doubt I'd attempt using it myself. It looks to be far too tedious.

Agreed ... I have the full set of CDs (for USA) and a working nav system, but almost never use it, for 2 reasons: 1. Gross over-complication (you can't drive and use at the same time ,,, too tedious) and 2. The CDs use non-updateable maps from 19 years ago.
A $50 WalMart nav unit (or smart phone app) does a better job and WAY easier.
For fun, I sometimes use the GPS coordinate function to find alternate routes or actual distance to known GPS locations ... but as a usable nav unit? Only once, then never again.
