as the audi fluid G-052-162-a2. Is this the same as the audi dealer fluid? Can I us it? Thanks

I've come to the conclusion that the type of transmission fluid is much less important than the cleanliness of the fluid and the pressure drop across the filter (i.e. changing the fluid and filter on a regular basis is soooo important).

However, I would never recommend not using Audi ATF because I don't want to be responsible for anybody's transmission, nor do I want to be the test case.

However, Wendy sent this to me a while ago, I sent a sample out for analysis....it came back almost exact, would have to pull the analysis out....but I didn't want to recommend to Wendy to sell it because of my and her liability....

My Audi mechanic uses Pentosin ATF1, meets VW TL52162. He orders it using the Audi part number. Notice that the VW number has the 52162 in it. It looks the same as the Audi fluid. Used it in my A8, my daughter's A4 for thousands of miles and dozens of other Audis with no problems. If it is Pentosin and carries the VW or Audi number it should be fine.

Should be fine also. I just got off of the phone with my Audi mechanic friend and he told me that he just overhauled an A4 transmission with 54K miles and that he is seeing a lot of failures, so he is not impressed with the genuine Audi fluid or ZF. He is running an experiment with a synthetic fluid. We'll see how it goes.

My latest house find (after sending out 3,000 post cards last week) is a HUGE 2 flat with a coach house! I would convert the 2 flat into a single family home....but get this!

The coach house (if you could call it that) has a two car garage at the bottom, but a sliding door for only one opening, like a pocket door would have in a house. The ceiling in the garage is something like 15'!! I could easily put a lift in there.

The other side of the garage has a chimney in the middle of it so it would become my performance center! Upstairs has a tiny apartment with a bedroom, living room, kitchen and full bath....it's tiny. Either a HUGE office or maybe kids play area, or ADULT play area!

A pad next to the garage that six cars can sit on two deep, three side by side.

I would build a two car garage attached to the coach house and have three stalls and a full workshop....the house isn't on the market....I got the lead from sending out the post cards....gonna bar-b-que with the owners on Sunday!

A little beyond my price range, but what the heck??? Could be a dream house....and it's on a double lot, folks, that's 50' wide where I'm looking....but it has 7 bedrooms and 4 baths on 3 levels right now!
