I have the procedure for removing the starter from Alldatadiy.com. The thing is that it requires a special tool to keep the engine hanging since you have to remove the engine supporting mounts in order to access the damn starter...

I need to remove the started for the purpose of repair since now I have to try starting the car so many times before it starts especially when its hot. My electrician said he can know the problem and he can fix the starter but he cant remove it.
I can do but I dont have this special tool or any similar facility.

I am trying to attache the above mentioned procedure.


Please if anyone has alternative ideas for removing the starter without the need for this special tool then lets share the info.

There is a great step by step video on Youtube of a guy removing the starter on an A8. Tricky job but definitely doable.

Sorry you have to go through that with the starter. Did you address the long start issue? My first thought would be a fuel pump issue since those can be common.
