S8 rear brakes on A8 ?
Hi,
Concerning the facelift D2 (1999->2002):
Has anyone put S8 rear brake-discs (280x22mm) on an A8 (269x22mm in europe for the V6 petrol/diesel and V8 diesels, not sure about the V8 petrol's).
According to ETKA it seems that all i need are the S8 caliper-support brackets and the bigger discs as the caliper and pads are exactly the same part.no's on A8's and S8's.
Is it truly that easy ?

I do not think anyway has mentioned doing it, but yes it would
be that easy to do. Actually on ebay here in the states someone was selling the brackets off of an S8.
I was not interested as I am working with somone on a custom big brake kit all the way around for my 2000 A8L.

Auction ended: Jul-20-08 21:31:22... :-(
These things cost 140 euros a piece here in Holland :-(
280 euro's just to be able to mount discs that are 11mm larger in total diameter. I wonder if it's worth it.
