Some Nav Plus Shots - This thing is so cool!

It also gives you expansion capabilities.
You can play DVD's with some additional hardware, things like that.
For an A/V nut those are always fun.
But I'll be curious about the maps usefulness over time as well!

On my 97, I don't think I can display the map in the center console
It's not a color unit like the face lift models. I would be interested to see if they can have the map in the center display, I played with Airbill's 00 but only for a few minutes.
How do you get the map on the center display?
BTW, I do like the English Ladies voice, but they should have a couple different voices, I'm thinking a dominatrix voice....with a whip sound too! ;-)

I think Greg means "centre"=dash console/main unit and "between the dials"=small gauge display
... darn furriners ;-)
So you're both right. HAH! I don't believe you can display map on the newer colour small gauge displays ('02/'03+) either. Too tiny. Map = Nav+ only.
Paul -- Dan notes on his site that one of the C vs. D differences is that the C's won't recalculate a route if you don't follow the calculations. I'm not sure what he means, because mine certainly will, although it sometimes takes a few blocks. It first tries to get you back onto the desired street. Sometimes via U-turns, then by telling you to turn on the next street that will get you back on track. It eventually gives up and comes up with an entirely new route once you get past the point of no return.
What does yours do?

Re: On my 97, I don't think I can display the map in the center console
Assuming we're not talking at x-purposes, I was referring to the centre console as the thing holding the 5 inch screen, that your earlier posts show you as having disemboweled and out back together again.
Try pressing the circular button on the right hand side of the screen. Your second and fifth screen shots in the original post in this thread show "Map Display" in the bottom right corner, next to a button symbol with a red outline. That should mean that if you press the right hand circular button on the Sat Nav unit, you'll get a map.
